Forensic Science is poised to enter the twenty-first century. But failed evidence can raise forensic doubt. Older methods hinder justice, while better DNA science often goes unused. This full day CLE/CJE teaches how modernizing forensic science improves criminal justice. Nationally recognized lawyers, judges and scientists share their successes in bringing effective science into the courtroom. The full day speaker program offers 4 substantive CLE/CJE credits plus 2 ethics hours, and includes a mock trial.

The lunchtime keynote speaker is DNA exoneree Roosevelt Glenn, who will talk about his 17 years in prison for a crime he did not commit (not for CLE/CJE credit). Professor Frances Watson, who successfully fought for his exoneration, will be honored for her work on wrongful convictions.

To register for the CLE/CJE conference, please contact Carol Eddins of the Allegheny Courts by email at ceddins@alleghenycourts.us or by phone at (412) 350-5525. Box lunches will be available for purchase.
